This Privacy Policy explains what personal data InspectionReady Home (inspectionreadyhome.com) collects, why, and what rights you have. We collect as little as we can: there are no accounts, no quote forms and no lead capture on this site.

What we collect and why
When you contact us
If you use our contact form, we receive your name, email address and message. We use them only to reply to you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering messages you choose to send, and, where relevant, steps you ask us to take.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are read and how visitors find the site. It collects information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type. Google Analytics works with Google Consent Mode, so it does not set analytics cookies unless you accept them in our consent message. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Advertising
The site is funded by advertising served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to show ads and to measure them, and, if you consent, to personalize them based on your visits to this and other sites. Where consent is required, ads are not personalized unless you accept. You can read how Google uses data from sites that use its services on Google’s website. Server logs
Like any website, our hosting provider records technical data such as IP address, browser and the pages requested, to keep the site running and secure. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in the security and operation of the site.
Our tools
The checklists and calculators on this site run in your browser. What you enter, such as dates or checklist answers, may be saved in your own browser’s local storage so you can come back to it. It is never sent to us, and you can delete it by clearing your browser’s site data.
Cookies
We use a consent message provided by Google so you can accept or reject non-essential cookies, and change your choice later through the privacy and cookie settings link. Our Cookies Policy lists the categories of cookies used and what each one does.
Who receives your data
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with insurers, agents or inspectors. Some service providers process data on our behalf:
- our web host, Namecheap, which stores the site and its server logs;
- Google, for analytics, advertising and recording your consent choices, as described above.
Some of these providers are located in the United States. Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, it is protected by the safeguards the providers offer under the GDPR, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Contact messages: until your enquiry is resolved and for up to 12 months afterwards, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
- Analytics data: according to the retention period set in Google Analytics.
- Cookies: for the duration set by each provider.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. If you live in a US state with a consumer privacy law, such as California, you have similar rights to know about, delete and correct your data. We do not sell or share personal data for cross-context behavioral advertising beyond the Google advertising described above, which you can refuse in the consent message.

Children
This site is written for homeowners and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
