1. What the site offers
The site provides free, general information and tools about home insurance inspections in the United States. It does not provide insurance, inspections, legal advice or insurance advice, and using it does not create any professional or client relationship.
2. Information is general
Requirements differ by state, by insurer and by property, and they change over time. Each guide shows when its information was checked. Before you act, confirm the requirements with your insurer, a licensed agent or a licensed inspector.
3. Our tools
Our checklists and calculators give an estimate based on what you enter and on the rules we have verified. They do not replace an inspection, and their results do not guarantee that a home will pass an inspection or that an insurer will accept a policy. The tools are provided as they are, free of charge, and may change or be unavailable at times.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the site for any unlawful purpose, not to try to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to it and not to copy substantial parts of its content or tools without permission. Printing a checklist for your own use or to share with a client, with the site address kept on it, is welcome.
5. Intellectual property
The texts, diagrams, tools and design of the site belong to its owner, except for licensed third-party materials and official documents, which remain the property of their owners.
6. External links and advertising
We link to official sources and other websites so you can check what we say. We are not responsible for their content. Ads shown on the site are served by third parties. Showing an ad does not mean we endorse the advertiser.

To the extent permitted by law, the site owner is not liable for any loss arising from the use of the site, its tools or the information on it, including decisions about inspections, repairs, insurance policies or claims.
