This is our public log of errors we have corrected. Insurance rules affect real decisions, so when we get something wrong, we fix it and say so here.
What we log
We record a correction here when an error:
- could have cost a reader money or led to a wrong decision about an inspection or a policy;
- reversed a fact, for example stating a rule applies when it does not; or
- stated something without a source to support it.
Typos and routine updates, such as refreshing a date or adding a new source, are not listed. The date at the end of each guide shows when it was last checked.
